Fascia Signage – Handcrafters House

Our client, Handcrafters House in Midland WA needed a sign on their fascia but the deadline was quite tight. Rather than us tell the story, we thought it better to post the unedited Testimonial supplied by the owner, Michelle:

Recently I purchased a new premises for my patchwork & quilting business in Midland. The fascias on this building are huge and I wasn’t really sure where to start.

I found Perth Graphics Centre online through the Yellow Pages and emailed them to which they replied first thing the following morning. (Note to self – prompt and professional). A day or so later Tony and I were standing out the front of my shop measuring the signage area and discussing what would be needed.

As I dabble in a bit of graphic design I wanted to design my own signage, which was not a problem for Perth Graphics. After a lot of emails back and forth, due mainly to my indecision on colour, design, size and placement (after all I wanted it to be perfect) we came to the final product which was installed less than a week later! All of this happened in the weeks leading up to Christmas, one of the most busiest times of the year.

I was so impressed with Tony & Clare’s team at Perth Graphics that I offered to write to this testimonial. The quality of their work, their professionalism and their patience with my ever changing mind is second to none. And now my artwork sits proudly above my shop for all to see! Thank you Perth Graphics!”

Thankyou Michelle. We appreciate the business too! Just a side note… Whilst this sign was being installed, we had one gentleman approach us and ask where Handcrafters House had shifted to. He saw the sign and pulled in off the street to come and see what Handcrafters House had to offer! Proof positive that good signage really does work.”

Corflute Signs – lightweight and cost effective

If it’s cheap and cheerful you’re after, then corflute signs will be your answer. Corflute signs are perfect for light, rigid signs and because they’re easy to transport, they are the perfect solution for temporary or changeable signage.

The sheet sizes for “flute”, as it’s also known, are 2440mm x 1220mm and corflute comes in 3mm and 5mm thicknesses. There is an 8mm thickness available on request, however there are now better alternatives for thicker material.

Perth Graphics Centre can fit digital print or vinyl cut text, and we can cut to shape if required. We also have a direct print option which is the most common method of printing onto the flute. Corflute is a great way to produce cheap real estate signs, building site signs, display work, for sale signs, safety signs, and even fence signs.

Is corflute the same as coroplast?

Yes, the two terms are interchangeable. However the word “coroplast” is used in the United States, whereas Australia and the UK refer to the same material as “corflute”.

There are also differences in packaging grades and signage grades, so always ensure you get the signage grade which has more UV inhibitors to help it resist our harsh weather.

With full colour, single colour and double sided options available, it’s worth exploring corflute for your next short term signage requirement.

Magnetic Signs and Car Magnets

We often get asked if we make magnetic signs for cars – the answer is simple. Yes!

These car magnetic signs are a great alternative to stickers, and offer a temporary branding for while you’re on the job.

Made from a durable, vehicle grade magnetic, these signs can be done in full colour, or even just one colour if required. The standard size is 600mm x 300mm, and they’re usually done in pairs.

Of course, we can custom make any size you require, but make sure that the vehicle hasn’t been in an accident or been bogged up – if there’s no steel there, then the magnets aren’t going to stay.\

The same applies to cars with aluminium bodies – it needs to be steel for the magnets to work.

We also have a few tips and tricks exclusively for PGC customers to make sure you get the longest life out of your magnetic signs – something our competitors are envious of.

By following our instructions, you’ll be sure to lengthen the life of your car magnets and protect your paintwork.

A-Frame Signs – small, portable, signage solution

If you’re after a sign to put on your front verge, or directly in front of your shop to catch passing traffic, then A-frames will suit you perfectly.

The name, as you guessed, comes from the shape of the letter “A” which is what the sign resembles from the side.

A-frames come in various sizes, ranging from 600mm x 600mm in a flip over form, through to 1200mm x 900mm. The most popular size is 600mm x 900mm, which is easy to carry, yet large enough to be read. The largest we carry is 1800mm x 1200mm and this size will normally require a couple of wheels to be attached so it can be transported more easily.

All our metal A-frames use either colorbond or aluminium composite faces, with a galvanised powdercoated frame, ensuring years of life. They can be digitally printed, have vinyl cut lettering, whiteboard sections, blackboard sections or a combination of all of the above.

Because A-frames catch passing traffic, we usually suggest keeping the message simple. Something like a heading, bold prices and a very brief description, or even just a logo and a phone number.

We can also offer A-frames with interchangeable corflute faces, meaning you can have specials which you rotate month by month.

Discounts are available on large quantities, and custom sizes are available. For details, check out our contact page to send us an e-mail, or give us a call on (08) 9248 6226.
