Building signs and street front signs
Posted on October 19th, 2011 No commentsIf you need building signs, then there’s only one place to head - Perth Graphics Centre.
We supply and install large signs like this pylon sign for PR Power. The large PR logo is done using 3D routed MDF and then two-pack painted to ensure they last for years outside.
The rest of the sign uses cast vinyl, again to give maximum longevity.
If it’s building signs or street-front signage you’re after, then head to our contact page for a quote. We look forward to hearing from you.

Fence signs
Posted on August 22nd, 2011 No commentsAt Perth Graphics Centre, we are consistently asked to make fence signs. Perth’s usual fences mean that we can attach aluminium composite panel to them with either wire or UV stable cable ties.
A standard size is usually 2400mm x 800mm, however any size is available, due to our large sheets.
These fence signs are UV resistant and we can coat the sign with an anti-graffiti film which will prevent artline or spray can tagging. If you require a fence sign (and fence banners are available, too) then please head to our contact page and ask for a quote.

Mazda Bravo Ute Signwriting
Posted on July 26th, 2011 No commentsUte signwriting is particularly common these days, with most utes having plenty of space to signwrite.
In the case of Heli-One, we used vinyl-cut signage on the sides of this Mazda Bravo and then riveted a piece of metal signage on the back tray.
This is a fairly simple and cost-effective way of getting a business’s name out in the public eye, and also catches attention with its bold side graphics.

Metal signs
Posted on March 22nd, 2011 No commentsMetal signs are the most durable of all kinds of signs. There are lots of different types of metal signs, including the following:
- Colorbond signs
- Signwhite
- Aluminium signs
- Aluminium composite signs (these are different to aluminium signs)
- Galvanised metal signs
By far the most common metal signs are those made from Colorbond or signwhite (a slightly thinner gauge of Colorbond). Signwhite signs have a white background to begin with and can be painted, have vinyl cut lettering on them, or have digital print on them. They can withstand extreme temperatures, so are perfect for very hot environments.
Aluminium composite signs are becoming more popular due to their strength and their light weight. Aluminium composite signs are made by sandwiching a thick piece of polypropelene plastic in between two sheets of aluminium. The standard sheet size is larger than signwhite meaning less joins, and it lays flatter than signwhite. However it does expand and contract in extreme temperatures and so is better suited to mild climates.
Aluminium signs are just a thickness of aluminium as a sheet. These are usually engraved or painted as vinyl doesn’t adhere to them as well, due to their oily nature (which is eliminated once it’s painted).
Galvanised metal signs are a sheet of zincalume which has been painted and lasts for a very long time, although it is quite an expensive process.
For most intents and purposes, signwhite or aluminium composite signs will do the trick.
However, if you have any questions regarding your signage needs, please be sure to head to our contact page and email or phone us - we’ll be happy to help.

Shop front signs
Posted on February 28th, 2011 No commentsPerth Graphics Centre has been called upon by leading WA companies to prepare and create their shop front signs, and we’re happy to oblige.
In this job, for Adam’s Brunchbox in Balcatta, we were contracted to manufacture and print the signs for the front and sides of the shop.
Using a combination of sailtrack banners skin (click here for an explanation) and metal signs, we achieved a bold result which brings passing trade in the front door.
If you require a revitalisation of your shop front signage, then please call us - click here to head to our contact page - and ask for a quote.

A-frames
Posted on February 21st, 2011 No commentsAn A-frame sign is a freestanding, double sided sign which sits in the shape of the letter “A” - as the name implies.
The beauty of an A-frame is its able to be moved if necessary, but still has enough strength to withstand light wind and rain. A-frame signs are usually placed outside a shop front to draw customers inside.
We can incorporate blackboard faces for either part or all of it, or whiteboard if need be.
A-frames come in three different sizes:
- 600mm (W) x 450mm (H)
- 600mm (W) x 900mm (H) - pictured above
- 900mm (W) x 1200mm (H)
We’ll be happy to send you a quote over the email, so enquire today about A-frame signs.

Metal signs
Posted on February 21st, 2011 No commentsIf it’s longevity you’re after, then metal signs are the best sign you can have.
Metal signs last for years due to their ability to withstand the elements, and now with the advent of digital print and chemical resistant overlaminates, you can have almost anything you like on them, as you can see from this Rice Noodle house sign we created for iEdit.
Shopfront signage is the ideal use for metal signs and there are Colorbond, aluminium composite panel (Alucobest, Di-Bond) and Signwhite. Some sheets have different thicknesses, but if you’ve got a question regarding metal signs, then by all means send us an email.
Metal signs are guillotined to size and can also be used for safety signs or container signs, so as you can see the application is virtually unlimited.
If you would like a quote on metal signs, please head to our contact page and ask away.
